When I open a file, I get a pop-up message indicating that there are macros
in my file. I did not create any macros in this file, nor can I find any
macros (using Tools>Macros). I thought I remember there being an add-in that
would seach for "hidden" macros. Can anyone help me find these macros?

Use ALT+F11 to open the VBEditor
On the left locate your workbook
Right Click on Module attached to it and remove

Could be event code in a Worksheet or Thisworkbook.

Could be an empty module that used to contain macros.

Could be a Form that does nothing.
