how do I find and get rid of an email confirmation of receipt that’s stuck in
Outlook somewhere? The problem was caused by my accidently hitting "send"
but unfortunately the original came via a server that I don’t directly log on
to. Please don’t say contact my ISP – they’re the ones that can’t keep my
broadband going all the time and want me to use a revenue generating phone
number to speak to them.

Oops, forgot to mention that after you clear the return receipts via the
link I sent, you can turn off the returning of read receipts in the later
versions (2003/7) of Outlook. See Tools > Options > Preferences tab > Email
Options button > Tracking Options. Settings are near the bottom of the
dialog box.
