I am converting to Windows/Vista and Windows Mail from Outlook 2003. I want
to transfer the old folders, but the option for Outlook 2003 is not listed.
Windoiws Mail does not accept MAPI format for the import on the two options
that might work, and I don't have either of the other two options, i.e.
Outlook Express 6 or 7.

Where is the Outlook 2003 data? If on an XP machine, then you need to import
into Outlook express and then move that message store to the Vista machine,
and then import into Windows Mail....

OK, I imported into Outloook Express, but I could not find the updated
Message folder under the name "Outlook" or "Outlook Express", even after I
instructed it to "show all hidden folders", a following the steps in the
Windows Mail help screens...

the default location of the OE message store is:
C:\Documents and Settings\{your user name here}\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{long string here}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
