I would like to be able to export my Outlook2007 address book so that I can
import it to another computer which Office 2003 on it or for that matter to
another PC with Outlook2007 on it. . I have tried to export the address
book using the File/Export but the folder it says it is exporting it to does
not contain the file after the export is done. It says it is exporting it
to Documents and Settings\UserName\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook with the
file name backup.pst but there is not such file in that directory after the
export.

Look more closely. It says; "Local Application Data" which is a hidden
folder. Note that you can set it to any location you want. For more info

The correct folder should be....
Documents and Settings\UserName\Local
Settings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook

If you are still unable to find it, Search for a backup.pst (in hidden
folders also)
As Robert told its alwasy helpful to backup it somewhere familiar

Exporting is not a way to back up data. It is used to convert it to another
format. You back up data by making a copy of your Outlook data file.
