I want to be able to add text to an email I received and plan to keep. I
just got Outlook 2007 and have not found a way to do this yet. I don't know
if it matters but my service provider is MSN/Qwest.

Does anyone have the answer - how do I edit the text of a message in my
inbox or personal folders?
Thanks
Jerry

open the message and look on Other Actions button - it's in the Actions
chunk of the ribbon, should be the second one in.

Thank you Diane,
That is what I was looking for. I did find out by trial and error that I
can not edit while the message is in the inbox (the edit function you
mentioned is grayed out). If I move the message to a personal folder first
then I can use the edit function.
Thanks for the help.
Jerry
