I am trying to draw a half circle and a quarter circle in PowerPoint without
drawing it freehand (too messy!). I can't find it in clip art or the
standard shapes. Any suggestions?

Hammy

Have you tried creating a PIE CHART and then 'un-grouping' it?

Just enter the values 50 and 50 to get 2 half segments, 33, 33, 33 for
thirds

You can draw a circle the color you want, and then two rectangles the color
or texture of your background. Move and rotate the rectangles to mask out the
parts of the circle you don't want. Once you got it as you want, select all
(hold Shift key down as you click on each part) and then right click and
choose Group. You'll need to use the Send to Back to keep the masking
rectangles behind other elements of your slide.
