My site was built using Frontpage 2000 . I will be moving the site to
another Host and want to save all the files on my local PC so I can later
upload them to the new Host.

When I tried to copy and paste the files to my local computer the "paste" is
grayed out.

My hosting account is set up for Frontpage and is not accessable through FTP
..

Is there some way to download these files ?

Many thanks
Dick B

Open the remote site in FrontPage.
Click File > Publish Web ( Publish Site in FP 2003 ) and when prompted point it to a location on
your hard drive.

Open the hosted web site in FrontPage. Publish it to your local machine.

connect to the server either through your usual method of http: or ftp mode,
or other ftp program.....transfer the files from the server to a folder on
your HDD (in Frontpage just publish the site from the server to your
computer - to a folder you can identify later (usually within "My Webs" or
similar).
