How are you backing the file up? Does the backup facility offer a restore?

I am backing up using both cobian (external drive) and backup process that MS
offers for Outlook

I'll assume your backup process simply makes an exact copy of your PST file
(i.e. no fancy compression, encryption, etc.). With Outlook closed, just
copy your backup PST file into the folder where your "production" PST file
was (the exact location varies depending on the version of Windows). Make
sure it is named the same as your old one. Then open Outlook and you should
be viewing your messages from your backup PST and all will be well in the
world once again.

Just curious...how did you lose all of your e-mail?
