how do i do an email message mail merge from an email list in exel

I need to do a mass mail out to over 200 people, i have done the envelope
mail merge from an exell database nad all is perfect and now i want to do a
email mail merge from the same exell database. Is this possible to do?

I know i can do an email merge from Outlook Contacts but the database which
has all the email addresses is actually an exell file so if i can use that
database it would be soooo much easier.

Please help!

Can't you just select 'em in excel (the email addys), and copy. And
paste 'em into the BCC field in a new email? Works for me.

PS: I would send to no more than 50 recipients at a time - many servers
are setup (or spam filters) to reject incoming emails with lots of
recipients. eg. all the clients I admin, I setup to reject all incoming
emails with more than 60 recipients.

So you won't get your email to me

Hi Duncan,

Thanks for your help, i have already received info on the solution that you
mentioned, i was hoping there was a way in which i could complete an actual
mail merge properly, the same way you would do a mail merge to print
envelopes for example.... any ideas.

Can you not do this in Word? Begin an (email) mail merge, using Excel
as your data source. That can definately be done.
