How do I disable the Junk Email Filter in Outlook 2007?

Hi! The office I support is using Outlook 2007, with Exchange 2003 and 2007
on the back end (one server of each). We have an external 3rd party spam
filter, so we don't need any filtering within our environment. I have been
getting complaints that some email is still going to people's junk email
filter in Outlook even though the setting "No automatic filtering" is
selected. I just checked mine, and I have a few in there as well. I checked
my blocked senders list, and it is blank, but I still seem to be getting a
few messages filtered. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a way
to completely get rid of the filter? Maybe a reg hack, or something? Thanks
in advance for your advice!

Have you disabled the Phishing Filter as well?
Have the messages perhaps been put there by the Exchange filter?
Could they have been put there by message rules?
Service Pack 2 for Outlook 2007 has a new feature which indicates whether
the message has been put there by the Outlook Junk E-mail Filter or by
secondary means.

No, I haven't disabled the Phishing Filter - Is that in IE? I wasn't aware
that there was a phishing filter in Outlook. I only have one rule set up in
my Outlook, and that's for a chime to sound when my boss emails me...which
shouldn't affect the filter. Where is the indication feature of why the
email ended up in the filter? Maybe that will point me in the right
direction. I would be surprised if Exchange would cause emails to be put in
the junk email folder since they would be more likely filtered before they
hit Outlook.
Thanks!

The Phishing Filter can be configured in the Junk E-mail Options as well,
although these messages should normally remain in the Inbox (unless they
were considered as spam as well).
Tools-> Options-> Junk E-mail

When you have SP2 installed, then the indication is in the Infobar above the
message. It will contain the message;
"This message was marked as spam using the Outlook Junk E-mail filter."

True, since Exchange level filtering occurs before Outlook level filtering,
but what makes you say that they were filtered out at Outlook level and not
Exchange level?

I did not have Office service pack 2 installed, so I downloaded it, installed
it, and looked at the message in the Junk E-Mail folder again. Now, the
message at the top of the window says "This message was marked as spam using
a junk filter other than the Outlook Junk E-mail filter." That's strange
because we don't use any other filter, and what non-Outlook filter would move
mail from inbox to junk e-mail in Outlook? Exchange filters messages at the
server level - they never reach Outlook, so they wouldn't be placed in the
junk e-mail folder.

I do have the checkbox in the junk email settings set for the option
"Disable links and other functionality in phishing messages."

Exchange level filters by default move the items to the Junk E-mail folder
within the user's mailbox so they will show up in Outlook as well.
