When enterting data in a table, if I enter a 2 in one field then a 4 in the
next, the third will automatically enter 6. How do I stop this?

Unfortunately, you can't, but then you should never be entering data
directly into tables. You should always use a form.

You can't.

What you can do, however, is what you should be doing for many other
reasons: don't use table or query datasheets for ANYTHING other than
debugging.

This silly misfeature does not manifest itself when you use a
Continuous Form for data entry.

When using a form in datasheet view, this unfortunate
behaviour is controlled by the "Allow AutoCorrect"
property of the text box.

I have seen a report that this does not work correctly
in A2003, but it works for me.

When using a table in datasheet view, this behaviour
can be prevented by providing a default value (for
example NULL) to the field (only tested in A2000)
