How do I delete stuck read receipt WITHOUT Outlookspy?

I run Outlook 2003 and collect mail from two ISPs.
I only have rights, from this machine and connection, to send from one.
I received a message, through the ISP whence I cannot send, with a read
receipt that is stuck.
I solved this a couple of months ago with the free trial of Outlookspy.
I need to delete the errant read receipt WITHOUT BUYING a copy of Outlookspy.
How can I accomplish this? Thanks, in advance.

Ms. Orland,
Unless I am missing something, the link page suggests using Outlookspy.
I am trying to fix this problem without spending $50 for a program I cannot
otherwise use.
Did I miss another option in the link?
Thanks.

If this read receipt is stuck in your outbox, take Outlook offline to delete
it or open Outlook in safe mode. Or you can try to open the read receipt and
close it, then attempt to delete it.

The thing is that you can't see these items in Outlook ;-)

Thank you. Thank you.

This was a wonderful solution and worked, like a charm, even without screen
shots.

Great to know that a fix can be had without having to make unnecessary
developer software purchases.

Thank you again.
