I sometimes experiment with stuff by installing windows on a seperate
drive, or the vista past beta's...well i can't seem to delete any of
them windows always says things are in use (which they obviously can't
be in 3 windows directories acrossed multiple drives at once).

They're ntfs partitions so i can't use a win 98 boot disk and deltree
them.

I don't have enough space to move all my stuff off the drive and format
it.

Any ideas?

Hello Chris:

It is suicidal to experiment with software that is explosively growing every
day unless you know what is what thoroughly!

You have to instal certain utility programs to see which are the open files.
Find if there is any open file from any of the directories that you want to
delete. If none, you can safely delete the directories. If you are an advance
user, you should also check for dependencies if any!

Alternatively boot the system with a boot disk and delete the directories.

Wish you all the best!

I am really sorry I missed to say use boot disk of some data recovery
software! Certain Data recovery software has the provision to delete or wipe
specif sectors occupied by specific directories and files. But it is not for
every body! Only advanced users can do it else risk data on your disk. But
the boot disk of certain data recovery software such as DFSEE that you can
down load from www.dfsee.com will let you boot !
