How do I delete an item from clipboard that won't clear?

's Computer Specifications

I have Word 97 and can no longer copy items to my clipboard. There is one
item in there, I don't know what the icon represents and everytime I attempt
to clear the item, it automatically pops back up. Has anyone else had this
problem and if so do you know how to fix it?

Office 97 did not have the Office clipboard so where exactly are you seeing
this icon and what are you trying to clear?
