The Radeon 8500 and later with DVI can all run the IBM T221 at its
native 3840x2400 resolution via the DVI. You may have to get Powerstrip
in order to be able to set that resolution though. 1600x1200 should be
no problem for the board.

The earlier Radeons may be able to do this as well--the 8500 is the
earliest that I'm sure of.

I'm currently running a DVI 1280 x 1024 monitor, and I'm about to install a
Radeon 9600 card. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a 1600 x 1200 DVI
monitor. I know all the cards deliver 1600 x 1200 (and more) VGA, but what
is the limit with respect to the single-channel DVI connector? I understand
hi-res DVI hasn't been supported on older cards, forcing you to switch to
the analog VGA connection above 1280 x 1024. But what about the newer
Radeons? The specs don't specify this detail.
