What does come up? Have you tried powering down
completely instead of restarting?

I have tried powering down the laptop and starting it back
again many times but it comes up the window where it asks
us to do CRTL+ALT+DEL.....Thats where I hit on the keys
where it doesn't respond and doens't bring up the login
window.
