One way to create a sitemap:
File | New Page | Then search templates for Table of Contents. That's one
way anyway. Maybe look under Insert | Web Component too.

If you have a reasonable navigation structure with links on your home page
that point to most of your other pages (perhaps via a few other pages on your
site) then Google will handle that just fine, with no special need for a
sitemap.

The big deal is 1) Submit your si9te to the search engines, and
2) Getting other sites to point to yours. If you list your site in a reply
to this, then maybe Google will pick it up the next time it sweeps through
here!

Good luck

I highly recommended Cricket's Free SEO Classes

This link includes an overview of the free classes, along with a link to
class registration.

http://www.gnc-web-creations.com/seo-optimization.htm

BOTH the SEO Class and the Marketing Class are required. One must join both
BEFORE one's membership will be approved.

Yes you do need to create a site map, list the pages on your site with a
small blurb about each page, it's best done by hand rather than using the fp
TOC.

The rest of the questions can be answered in the free classes

Hello,

A site map is just a list of links to pages on your web site, and which
should use appropriate keyword text in the links. A good rule of thumb
is to not put more than 100 links on a single site map page. If you
have more than 100 links, just create another site map page and link it
from one central site map. Make sure all of your pages link to the site
map so that search engines, as they index your site, are only two links
away from any other page on your site.

As John mentioned, if you have a good internal linking strategy, you
shouldn't need one, but it's always possible to miss a page here and
there.
