Open Outlook Express and from the Toolbar select:
Help > Contents and Rules, type RULES in the find box,
click on LIST TOPICS, then click on "Create a rule for
mail messages".
You need to create a message rule that includes an "action"
to "delete it from the server".

| Another newbie on the net is getting spammed by bogus MSN
| alerts and patches. One reply to her inquiry ended with
| this recommendation:
|
| "There's probably no way of blocking all of the bogus
| messages, but you can greatly reduce the number you get
| by creating a rule, based upon the most commonly used
| subject lines, to delete the emails from the server
| without ever downloading them." (Signed, Bruce Chambers)

| I'm having this problem with my free MSN e-mail address,
| on a Gateway, using XP. Do I have the software hidden
| somewhere to write a "rule" such as what you describe?
