How do I create a procedure to show a document is loading?

I'm creating a database to track various tasks. The forms contain a number of
tabbed controls and because of the subforms attached, the main form does not
load quickly. I would like to be able to let my end users know that the form
is loading and that the system has not hung up. Any help would be appreciated.
