If you're trying to get clip art from the Clip Art Gallery online, the
proper procedure is to check it for download. It will be automatically
downloaded to the correct location, whence you can insert it using Insert |
Illustrations | Clip Art. I see that there is a "Copy to Clipboard" option,
and this does seem to work (at least I can then paste using Ctrl+V). This
seems to be only on the Windows Clipboard, however, not the Office
Clipboard.
