How do I copy bullets and number format from another doc?

I want to the same format for the bullets and numbers I received from another
document? How do I do that?

Instead of trying to copy the numbering scheme, copy the existing text into
the document containing the numbering scheme, and then apply numbering to
text.

Note that the recommended method to reuse numbering in Word is to set it up
with styles; see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html. The easiest
way is to define the numbering in a template and use it to create new
documents.
