how do i change the shape of the insertion point?

Hello,

I have a problematic eye sight which makes it difficult to use the standard
vertical insertion point. I would like to change it to a thick underscore,
the kind that was used in old DOS programs.

Please help!

Not spcifically in Word, but if you go to the Windows Taskbar
StartButton>Settings>Control Panel>Accessibility Options you may find several
features you can take advantage of.

I looked at Accessibility Options but did not see anything that can change
the size and shape of the insertion point...
