all of a sudden when I fo either to do a new e-mail or reply to one... the
curser types nothing in the body of the message. I found the default in
plain text and if I change i to html I now have a toolbar the sould give me
normal text. It is set on 'bland' Help?

You can change your default message format to HTML by going to;
Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Format
