I set up my Outlook 2003 some time ago when I first got my machine (almost 3
years ago. Suddenly all my permissions appear to have vanished. I cannot
delete e-mail messages from my Inbox folder. I cannot create a new Personal
Folder,

How do I re-establish these permissions?

TIA & Best Regards... Norm

What happens when you try?

Again, what happens when you try?
What scenario are you using Outlook in? Corporate with exchange, or at home,
stand-alone with POP email?

And no err msg?
I'd start by running a Detect/Repair, within Outlook or from your office cd
(repair)

Gordon,

I get an error window that tells me I do not have sufficient permissions to
do the operation.

Anyway, it turns out I found a way to resolve the issue myself.

I went into the Control Panel, clicked on EMAIL. Clicked on Accounts,
Properties, Change and just checked that everything was OK. Clicked OK, and
all permissions appeared to be re-established.

I do thank you for responding.

DL,

Thank you!

I went into the Control Panel, clicked on EMAIL. Clicked on Accounts,
Properties, Change and just checked that everything was OK. Clicked OK, and
all permissions appeared to be re-established.

If this had not worked, I agree the Detect/Repair option woulkd have been
what to try next.
