If you normally publish or open the live web using a URL similar to
http://www.example.com then you never need to use the IP address. The
URL will be changed to the IP by DNS servers (takes up to 3 days to
update DNS servers worldwide).
On the other hand if you publish to (or open)
http://192.168.12.1 (or
similar format) then replace these numbers with your new IP. As pointed
out, these numbers go on the Remote Website tab in Publish Properties.
Look for the Remote Web Site Location box.
In the File Open Site dialogue, type in
http://192.168.1.1 (use your
own IP) in the dialogue.
