The group header color is too light for me to read easily. Is there a way to
change that color. I have tried customizing the view and that doesn't seem to
do anything to the group headers.

As in the one that say "today" "yesterday" etc ? The only option you have
is to shade groups heading - view, customize, other settings. Shading makes
the group smaller, shaded and uses black text.
