I defined a view and applied it to multiple folders. Now I want to make a
small change to that defined view and have if applied to all the folders that
view is currently used on. I went into to defined views, selected the view,
modified it and then clicked apply. It doesn't seem to have changed the
other folders that view is used on, only the folder that I was in at the
time. How do I modify a defined view and make sure if applies to all the
folders using that view? Thanks.

Is it a view you created or a built-in view? If it's the latter, you might
have to reset it first, then create a new view based on it, with your changes.

I copied it from the message view and then made my original modifications
before applying it to certain folders. Now I want to make additional
modifications to it and have it apply to all folders using that view without
having to apply it folder by folder.

You don't say which version of Outlook you're using, but in later versions
(2007 and 2003, if not 2002), the built-in folder views can be changed on a
per-folder basis and will not be reset automatically if you change the
original view. You will need to apply your modified view to each folder
separately.

Sorry about that. I'm using Outlook 2003. The view I'm using is one that I
created by copying a built-in view. I modified it and then applied to my
folders. I modified it again and at one point it did apply to all the
folders that I had originally applied it to. However, when I modified it
again, it didn't change the other folders. I'm not sure what I did
differently that's why I thought I'd come here and ask how to so I could make
sure I do it the right way next time. Thanks for your help.
