How do I change the default text size in Outlook 2007 notes area?

I have Outlook 2007.

When I type text in the notes area of Tasks, Contacts or Calendar it is so
small it is not legible. Even when the font size is changed to 72 it is
very, very small. Once the text is input and saved however and then viewed
in the preview pane when opened it is displayed in the appropriate saved font
size. I do notice that the ruler does seem to be very small as well.

How can I modify the notes area so that the text I type in is viewable in
the font size I desire as I am entering that text? Thanks.

JLW
