I use the same wav file (not ringin.wav) to remind me of appointments and I
always have to track down my wav files, find the file I want and then select
it. Can't I just replace the ringin.wav file in Outlook?

Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices (in XP) - use the Sounds tab,
Microsoft Office option to select a new sound.
