how do I cancel transmit once it has started

I have a rather large message stuck in outbox and can't seem to get rid of
it, when I click on it the message comes back that outbox has already begun
to transmit. how can I get rid of this message?

As posted here pretty frequently - a google search would have given you the
answer quicker than the time taken to post the question and wait for an
answer:

Click File and check Work Offline. Close and then restart Outlook. Delete
the message. Click File and uncheck Work Offline.

If that doesn't work, try this:
