After running windows update, I am now required to click
on a user profile before I get to my desktop. I am the
only user of my computer, and therefore don't need
seperate profiles. How can I get back to having windows
XP boot right to the desktop without having to click on a
profile?

Hello
Yes you can do that and a lot more with Tweak UI, check out the other Power
Tools.
