I accidentally unchecked the box when i double clicked on an email attachment
that says "Ask me about this every time" or whatever-- and now I want it to
come back. How do I do this?

'Control Panel|Folder Options|File Types', locate the type of file (.DOC,
..XLS, .JPG, etc.) that was attached when you unchecked the box, select it,
click the "Advanced" button, and add a checkmark to the "Confirm open after
download" checkbox.
