How do I better see 12-pt. font on screen in a Word document?

All of a sudden I can hardly see what I'm typing on my WORD document screen,
using a 12-pt. font. I tried it in all Views but now can only read it easily
in the Web view. I've not had this problem before. Help, please. Thank you.

Maybe you have just changed the zoom value. You can change the zoom via the
Standard toolbar or via View > Zoom.

Thank you for replying. In VIEW> Zoom, it shows the value is about 47%.
Nothing happens when I try to change it. What is a correct zoom value?
Thanks.

I also seem to have the same problem referred to in another's post -- Only a
7 inch ruler.

I was finally able to change the Zoom value in PRINT LAYOUT view, so guess
things are okay for the present. Thanks for your help!

The "standard" Zoom is 100%. How are you trying to change it? If you have
the Zoom control on the standard toolbar, there should be an arrow beside it
which you can click on to get a menu of standard sizes. But you can also
type in any amount you want and press Enter.

Using the View | Zoom dialog, you can select one of the radio button presets
or use the spin box to change the amount, then click OK. This has the
advantage that it gives you a preview of the size of 12-point text.

I am glad you solved the problem.

A few details about zoom:
There is no correct zoom value as such – you should select the zoom that is
most comfortable for you and you can change the value whenever you want. When
you save and close a document, the document will "remember" the current zoom
setting. A larger zoom percentage enlarges what you see on the screen and
100% may give you something close to what you get when you print your
document. The result of selecting "Page width", "Text width" or "Whole page"
depends on the space available in your Word window.

Thank you. I don't see a Zoom control on the standard toolbar with an arrow.
As you'll note from my last post, I was able to change the zoom size to a
larger size in the PRINT LAYOUT view only; that seems to be all I need for
now. Thanks.
