Any idea why the To-Do Bar closes without any intervention every once in a
while? Seems to happen once or twice a day and I have to go to the View menu
to get it back. Outlook 2007 SP1. Thanks

could you be hitting alt+f2? does it disappear when you change views or
folders?

Definitely not hitting alt+F2 and the behavior I'm seeing isn't consistent
with what happens after hitting those keys (visible, minimized, then closed.)
It's likely disappearing when I go to Calendar in the Folder List and come
back to the Inbox, but I can't say with 100% certainty.
