I am unable to publish through Frontpage. I have tried to work with my server
and all attempts have been unsuccesful. So my new plan is so back up my
websites to cd and reformatt my computer and reinstall Frontpage how do make
sure I have all the files and that they will be read properly once frontpage
is reinstalled?

before you do this you really should figure out _why_ you can't publish
through FrontPage.

what is the URL of the site in question and what is the symptom that causes
you to believe you can't publish with FrontPage?

Exactly what problem are you having? Are you using the http (FPSE) method?
At what point does the site NOT publish? Is this a new host? Has your DNS
propagated through the net?
Backing up a website that doesn't publish and reformatting may not solve
your problem, it might bring back the problem from your backup.
Re-formatting should be done only as a very last resort. You need to solve
your publish problem.
