I want to automatically move all my Sent emails from the Sent Folder to a
Personal Folder. In Rules & Alerts all I can find is to copy them. Is there
another way?

I am experiencing the same exact issue. I noticed an option to perform a
custom action... but there are no options within this... nor am I able to
uncover how to created a custom action. I've been searching for over an hour
now...

Thanks. In Outlook 2002 there was a "move to specified folder" choice in
Rules & Alerts. In 2003 I can only find "copy to specified folder".

Custom actions are C++ programs. See
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/custom.htm for a list of pre-made custom
actions and a link to an article on creating them.

I guess I am a bit confused? None of these custom actions seem to be doing
what we are looking for.

I have a work around for this

First you need to use a signature ( tools options mail format signatures)

then create a rule
(apply this rule after i send the message with (your Name Here) in the body
and on this machine only move a copy to the ( folder in your offline .pst you
desire)

You still have to delete themout of your sent items folder but they are
backed up in your offline folder so it is an easy task

I have OL 2003 and I right click/scroll down to "move to folder"/highlight
the folder/click ok. Always make a folder while "PERSONAL FOLDER" is
highlighted or else it will make a sub folder under whatever you have
selected but you'll see a + next to that folder. Bobbi
