DNS error while accessing Symantec.com

I can view all web sites except for Symantec.com, therefore, I can not run my antivirus updates for Norton Antivirus. I have gone to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host file and deleted all lines except for 127.0.0.1 locahost which did not fix the problem.

Please advise.
