I have seen this error in eventviewers on various computers on our
networks off and on.

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: DnsApi
Event Category: None
Event ID: 11163
Date: 9/7/2007
Time: 3:37:58 AM
User: N/A
Computer: CLRELEASE
Description:
The system failed to register host (A) resource records (RRs) for
network adapter
with settings: Adapter Name : {D386DBF3-68E8-44B7-A4BC-2AAA3665DF07}
Host Name : clrelease
Primary Domain Suffix : xxxx.org
DNS server list :
xxx.59.31.1, xxx.59.31.13
Sent update to server : xxx.1.1.1
IP Address(es) :xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS
server failed the update request. The most likely cause of this is
that the authoritative DNS server required to process this update
request has a lock in place on the zone, probably because a zone
transfer is in progress.

The odd this is that IP in the Sent Update to server: line -- I don't
believe that we have a computer with that IP and I cannot figure out
where it is finding that. Should that be matching an IP above like xxx.
59.31.1?

Can someone help?

Thanks.
