OK, this is day 2 of pulling out my hair - I need a drink,
I think. I have XP Pro, and my computer all of a sudden
will not access my work site. My neighbor can access my
site - Same ISP, My co-workers can access the site, and
the HQ office is not having a problem at all!

Nothing has changed with any of my internet settings.
I've done a system restore - 1 week back, and that did not
help.

Any advice?

Some spyware will interfere with DNS, have you checked for that?

I agree with the spy ware problem, and one more thing to check if you have
any dial connections be sure the firewall is disabled on them as well. I
have a spyware program that Microsoft recommend to me send me an email and I
will send to you. (E-Mail Removed)

Is Zone Alarm Pro considered spy ware? That's really the
only program that I can think of that might block my
access to that site. I'm going to search the registry to
see if the site has been added there.

No Zone Alarm is NOT spyware. It is a Firewall program.
You might want to check in Zone Alarm | Privacy section | Site List tab
and see if your work site is listed in there and blocked by some chance.

Also check Internet Options | Privacy tab | Edit button and see if by
chance your work site is listed in there and blocked.

If not, then I suggest the following procedures:

Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab

Delete all cookies
Delete all temporary internet files
(include all offline content)
Remove all Downloaded Program Files
To do that, you click on that "settings"
button and then click on the "View Objects"
button and then right click and choose remove
for all of them, if any, one at a time.
Some of them may not remove. Don't worry about that.
Close the Downloaded Program Files window,
Click OK to the Settings window.
Now clear History

Now click on the "Advanced" tab at the top
of Internet Options.
In the Browsing section, uncheck the box for
"Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)"
Click "Apply" and then "OK" at the bottom
of Internet Options
Close out of Control Panel

Restart the computer

Download one or both of these Anti Spyware programs
and install them, update them and scan your system
and delete any spywares that may be found. If you have a
working Anti Virus program, then update it and scan with it,
otherwise use one of these free online virus scanners:

Ad-aware 6.0 build 181
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10....html?tag=list

Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10....html?tag=list

Panda ActiveScan
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

TrendMicro Houscall Anti Virus Scan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

After all spyware / virus has been removed, then
rename C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts to hosts.old

See if you can access your work site then.
