What errors do you see in the Event viewer?
Did you sysprep the machine prior to creating the image?
Are the NICs slightly different?
I've seen different NIC chipsets in different releases cause similar issues
due to the manuf putting a different NIC in the machines. Try reloading the
NIC drivers, or remove thNIC and add it back in again. If integrated, goto
Add/Rem Hardware, remove it, then let it re-find it and add it in again to
see if it helps.
The TCP/IP srvices need to be running fo the DNS client service. If the NIC
is down, then that will fail the TCP/IP services therefore snowball.
