Hi,

I have 2 questions:

1). I am in a child domain, and running DNS (ad-integrated) on my DC. I have
installed another DC, and installed DNS (ad-integrated) on it as well; I
wanted to configure this as a secondary for redundancy. But from my reading,
when DNS is AD-integrated there is no Secondary, all DNS are Primary. I
configured zone transfer between the two DC's. The first DC seems to
transfer a zone every 5 minutes. The event id in event viewer is 3150,
Source DNS, Type information,

Description: The DNS server wrote version 878 of zone x.x.x.in-addr.arpa to
file x.x.x.in-addr.arpa.dns

This happens every 5 minutes, is this correct?

2). Also, on the second DC with DNS, under the properties tab of the zone
under forward lookup, on the SOA tab, should the primary server point to the
name of the second DNS or should it be changed to the name of the first DNS
since it is actually the SOA?

If DNS is on both DCs in the same domain (in W2k), then make them both AD
Integrated and you won't have to worry about any of these errors.
