DNS Cache poisoning and Registry settings

According to this KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;241352 checking the
setting on the DNS server properties to Secure Cache against poisoning should
have the same effect as creating the DWord SecureResponse set to 1 in
HKLM/System/CurConSet/Services/DNS/Parameters. If that is the case, wouldn't
I expect, if the box is checked, to see the DWord entry if I looked in the
Registry? Since I did not find it I created the Dword entry. Is there any
harm in both?
