I have my Network running fine now, but I have a 2megabit
DSL line coming in and I want to integrate into my
network. I want all users to have Outside Net access,
currently all CLients have a DNS IP of my DNS server.
What is the apropriate configuration to give my clients
PCs internet access, my 2000 server is a root server,
could this be the problem and if so I how to I change
this or reinstall so it is not a root server. My server
is not running DHCP. All clients have static IPs. The DSL
line connection is, ISP to DSL Modem to Router (DHCP off)
to Network switch. If anyone can help thanks.

You need to set up forwarding on your AD DNS server. Before you can set up
forwarding you need to delete the "." (dot) forward look up zone that is
created by default. It will not be a root DNS server after deleting the dot.
See:

Thanks for the help. I have deleted the "." (dot) forward

what can I do to resolve this.
