We have two heavily used file servers which go down in the average once per week. The systems more or less become useless for users (slow response, file open/save problems) and we know that is time for a restart when we see dmio events (Id 29, 30 ,37, 50) in the event log.
Because of this issue we upgraded from a HP SA5i to a HP SA5300 but the problems still persist.

Server Details
HW: Proliant DL380 G2, SA5300 (latest firmware), 750MB memory (400 MB used), 5x 72GB SCSI disks, dynamic disks configured
SW: Windows 2000 Standard/SP4, latest storage drivers installed, “NumberOfRequests” registry key value set to 128

Would you have any idea how to get this issue under control (more memory, lower NumberOfRequests value) or are you able to point me into the right direction?

Many Thanks.
