I have installed a DLT 40/80Go on my win 2000 server. I have tried to backup
50 Go with NTbackup program, but it is not able to save more than 38 Go. The
program ask me to insert a second tape.
I have installed Arcserve 9.01 and I have the same prob. I have tried with
an other drive, stil the problem.
At the end I have tried with a novell netware 6 server, I still havze the
problème.
I Have downloaded the last driver & firmware from internet, but nothing
change.
The main problem his the DLT drive do not activet the compression, this is
what I think.
Thank for Help.

This depends somewhat on what type of file you are backing up. If you're
backing up text files, uncompressed images, some databases, or uncompressed
audio/video you will get a good compression ratio to your tape drive. If
you're backing up JPG images, AVI video, MP3 audio, ZIP/RAR files, or other
compressed formats, then your tape drive will not be able to compress your
data much further.
