Recently, I've been getting this message on Startup. I click OK and the
computer seems to work fine, but it bothers me that this dialog box is even
appearing. Just what is DLL Hook Load Failed? And how can i correct it?

TIA.

It sounds like some king of malware or spyware, try running ad-aware to
clean up your computer of this stuff firs. If doesn't work you can try
msconfig ( go to start and click on Run and type msconfig on the window
that shows up ) click on the startup tab and uncheck every program that
you see in there and reboot, if the error is gone then just run msconfig
again and go to the startup tab and check the first program and reboot.
Do this until you get the error, when you do then the culprit is the
last one you checked.

OK, Eduardo,

What do I do once I find which Startup item is causing the problem?

There are just a few threads on the error message here. Maybe something
here will ring a bell, such as the Netscape reference.

Eduardo,

I have isolated the startup item that causes the DLL Hook Load Failed notice
to appear. it's called NewShortcut1.lnkCommon Startup.

What do I do now?

TIA
