dll files?

Hi,
I have mistakenly open one of the DLL files with notepad.
Now all the Dlls are showing me the notepad icon. Is it
going to affect my Operating system(Windows 2000)?
How do I recover my dll files the same way they were
existing before.
Reply asap if possible.
