Got my contacts into the Winmail contact folder but the distribution lists
did not come over. I tried to email them as vcards but they turned into txt
files. Tried to burn them on a cd, that did not work either. Then decided
to rebuild them, but in Winmail I could not hold the ctrl key and select all
of the members for the list, I could only add each one individually. There
must be a way to add more then just one at a time. Any suggestions!

Can you export them as a CSV file and then import them from that?

an easy way, is to use Explorer and Tools - Folder Options and enable USE CHECK BOX for SELECTING.
then in the selecting window for GROUPS, just check the box in front of each name, then when done click ADD at the bottom right.
when done, you can go back and uncheck the CHECK BOX thing if you no longer want it.
personally I find it convenient for selecting more than one item at a time.

I just had to do the same thing.. and my distribution list was of entered
addresses, not existing in the address book. As an earlier post suggested, I
exported them as CSV - then had to tidy up the resulting file in excel, by
using TRIM() - to remove blanks before the words, the doing copy and paste
special - values to have the correctly formatted fields. Then I imported
them into windows mail.. no problems!
