Has anyone else discovered this problem?
Some Distribution Lists are not showing up in the GAL.
We have narrowed this down to Office 2003 SP3.
On a computer using Office 2003 with SP3 the DL does not show up in
the GAL
Access using the same account via OWA and the DL resolves.
Access using a computer WITHOUT SP3 isntalled and the DL resolves no
problem.
The DL exists in AD and is not set to hide from GAL.
The DL exisits on the exchange server and when I preview the result of
the GAL query it returns the DL in the list.
The only common denominator i can find is SP3 !!
Has anyone else had a similar issue and resovled it??? or is the a
brand new one for microsoft??

I resolved my own problem
Seems with Outlook 2003 set to use cached mode when SP3 is installed
will cause the issue.
Use outlook 2003 without SP3 in cached mode and there is no problem
Use outlook 2003 with SP3 not in cached mode and the DL now shows up
in GAL

bottom line.....dont use outlook in cached mode if you installed SP3

Another great feature microsoft have provided!!

do you see this behavior with Outlook 2003 in cached and non-cached mode?

Other than that, I have not run across this issue with Exchange 2003 (SP2)
and Outlook 2003 (SP3).
