Okay, so I caved a split our database. But before I
decide if it's the way to go, I want to test it.
One thing that I haven't figured out yet is now that I've
split the database, what do I do to distribute the new
front end? Do I just copy it to all other users'
computers (or short-cut to it), or something completely
different?

Oh, don't look at it that way! <smile>

There are a couple of different ways to go about distributing the front-ends
of split databases - which should always go to each user's local hard drive.

Access MVP Tony Toews has an AutoUpdateFE program available for download at:

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/autofe.htm

You could put a short-cut to a BAT file on each user's desktop. The BAT
file would contain a DOS copy command. You would need to notify each of
your users to double-click on the short-cut to update their database (which
must be closed)
